Healthy Communities has evidence-based programming in all the county schools regarding mental health. Some of these programs include Sources of Strength, Botvin LifeSkills, Social Perspectives, and more.
Systems of Care Navigator
Systems of Care Navigator assists clients seeking mental health resources and addiction services. This is a wrap-around service that can also assist in finding resources for those needing housing, SNAP, health insurance, and other programs. This program can also assist with transportation.
Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors(LOSS) Team
The LOSS Team is designed to directly assist the survivors of a death by suicide. This team can provide resources, connections, and planning on what the days may look like after the loss of a loved one.
Stepping on Stigma
Stepping on Stigma is the mental health campaign started by Healthy Communities in 2018. Stepping on Stigma includes mental health awareness sporting events, the Stepping on Stigma 5k, community trainings such as QPR and Mental Health First Aid, and awareness. The goal is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
Social and Emotional Learning
HCCC has a Social Emotional Learning Coach that oversees the implementation of evidenced based programs in social emotional learning and substance use prevention for youth at Clinton Prairie, Clinton Central, and The Crossing.
